The EHTEL agenda at the Radical Health Festival Helsinki 2024
Ageing populations, increasing prevalence of cardio-metabolic conditions, workforce shortages and burnouts, rising healthcare costs, unsustainable financing systems, health inequities: health systems around the world are facing a perfect storm. We need to challenge and radically innovate the way we promote health and deliver care.
In 2024 EHTEL is a Steering Committee Partner: which means EHTEL is co-organising three sessions in the festival.

“Read all about it” — latest new developments in vCare
Clinicians strike back. Despite the ongoing clinical constraints brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, the vCare project is moving ahead concretely. vCare is now entering its final evaluation phase. During this critical phase, 10 patients will test the vCare services over a minimum period of 3 months.

Virtual care strategies for Population Health Management
With the support of EHTEL member, GPI Spa.GPI Spa outlines a number of current trends that are influencing the growth of interest in Population Health Management. The company’s work illustrates how today’s model of healthcare is changing, and how the new model is supported by digital health, care management, and artificial intelligence (AI). Indeed, GPI’s vision of healthcare shows that the future is already underway. In the company’s own words, this means proactively “taking the initiative on healthcare rather than waiting for healthcare”.

Roll-out of Luxembourg’s eHealth services continues at a steady pace
With the support of EHTEL member, Agence eSanté.Agence eSanté, Luxembourg’s national eHealth competence centre, one of EHTEL’s longstanding members, is about to reach yet another of its roadmap’s milestones. The 2012-2021 time-period has included many major milestones for the country. Several more landmark achievements are in store from 2022 onwards.

Hospitalisation@home – exploring digital solutions using the SCIROCCO Exchange tool
On 19 October 2021 a workshop organised thanks to the support of the AAL Forum and the European Week of Active and Healthy Ageing, explained why the transition towards hybrid care technologies is a solution to ensure the sustainability of Europe’s health and care systems. Using two hospitalisation@home use cases, it showed how the SCIROCCO Exchange tool can help hospital sites with understanding and applying change management approaches.
