Implementation strategies, including the European Health Data Space

This track has two parts. It is oriented towards:

  • ⚜️ EHTEL members, through the regular meeting and activities of the EHDS Task Force.
  • An interoperability hub with a focus on public health use of data, through the initiatives undertaken in the EU project xShare.

Support to the track will also be given through liaison with projects such as Xt-EHRi2x, and MyHealth@MyHands. EHTEL is an associate member of the latter two projects.

A priority for this track of the work programme is to facilitate conversations on how to prepare EHR systems to deliver value through the EHDS. The focus is on making progress on FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) and Only Once principles. Achieving this progress will take place through the integration of AI-based decision support systems into EHR systems. The briefing paper – produced by EHTEL in 2026 – and the preceding working papers are EHTEL’s first step in that direction. More reports, such as a policy agenda, will follow.

Delve into the webinars which EHTEL has organised this year. Some of the webinar contents are accessible to EHDS Task Force members only. For public events, you can read online a short report of each session, and look at both the videos and presentations.

Look ahead to more webinars later in 2026.
