EHTEL has – since 2019 – developed  and fine-tuned a webinar-based work programme entitled Imagining 2029.

Every year since, EHTEL produces a work programme focused on the digital health priorities and hot topics.

This year, with its continued emphasis on the European Health Data Space (EHDS), EHTEL’s Imagining 2029 edition is structured in three pillars. The three pillars are on: Transforming Care Delivery, EHDS Implementation Strategies, and Change Management & Capacity-Building. They build on earlier work  developed by EHTEL. All the themes contain useful and practical learnings for implementers wanting to deploy and manage aspects of health data spaces.

EHTEL webinars are highly interactive: speakers spotlight their own practical work and real-life digital health implementations; there is always stakeholder representation and voices; and participants are encouraged to ask questions, share their views, and participate in polls.

This year

Top of EHTEL’s agenda continues to be everything that surrounds the launch of the European Health Data Space (EHDS).

Maintaining the approach initiated on the occasion of the association’s 25th anniversary, EHTEL's emphasis in 2026 remains on implementation, deployment, and what implementers need. EHTEL’s Imagining 2029 work programme is therefore structured in three tracks. They build on earlier work developed by EHTEL.

The three tracks are on:

• Transforming Care Delivery
• Implementation Strategies
• Change Management

☑️ In 2026, EHTEL will also be also present at, and involved in, a number of important European events and conferences. The EHTEL Thought Leader Symposium was fully embedded in the 2026 Radical Health Festival Helsinki  – a leading international event focused on digital health innovation and transformation.
