    Building a Future-Ready European Health Workforce

    On 14 January 2026, the EU Health Coalition - of which EHTEL is a member - met with the BeWell project, at a policy brunch, to explore together ways to build a European health workforce that is future-ready. The structured discussion brought together 30+  European Commission representatives, health attachĂ©s, policy makers, and workforce experts as well as representatives of health sector stakeholders – like EHTEL –  and regional authorities.

    Digital health skills: Practical experiences including in micro-credentialling

    On the digital health transformation front, building partnerships will help strengthen the available of skills and training. Micro-credentialling, in particular, is of especial importance.

    On 1-2 December 2025, the Network for Digital Health Excellence (NET4DHE) held a European Digital Health Summit at the Casa de America in Madrid. The two-day platform for dialogue and collaboration concentrated on translating policy into practice and fostering partnerships among European Member States, academia, and industry.

    The DMAT is a toolkit developed in the Laurel project to support organisations involved in integrated long-term care (I-LTC) in assessing and improving their digital readiness.

    DMAT’s purpose is to enable the transition toward better integrated, person-centred services and to facilitate the adoption of smart digital solutions by strengthening care delivery and professional capacity.

    Advancing Digital Maturity in Integrated Long-Term Care: the DMAT Toolkit

    On 17 December 2025, EHTEL and the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) co-organised an online workshop dedicated to the Digital Maturity Assessment Toolkit (DMAT), a key innovation of the Laurel project. The session brought together representatives from three selected good practices of integrated long-term care (I-LTC). The speakers and attendees validated the tool, gathered structured feedback, and co-designed its refinement and future deployment.
