A Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS) core activity is – through joint transnational calls – to fund research and innovation projects on common priorities and topics. Contributors have shared updates on their own research projects, and wider. Two of interest involve digital technologies in widely different clinical fields.
THCS projects vary widely in their focus, target population, and approach. But they do reveal common challenges and offer fascinating insights on transformation
activities and processes.
The resulting resources focus on key elements of the transformation of health and social care systems. They are shared by THCS partners as well as the wider European and international community.
Among the resources, EHTEL has made available its own implementers’ briefs, and other related materials.

The two discuss the ReSTAGE project – on the clinical management of patients with rectal cancer – which is combining advanced #MedicalImaging, #PredictiveModelling, and patient-centred #DigitalTools to support earlier intervention, more personalised care, and better health outcomes.

Spotlight on Projects - DADAP Project
How can digital technologies transform the way psychiatric assessments are conducted, making them more efficient, accurate and person-centred?
Three guests discuss how the DADAP project is developing digital solutions to modernise the psychiatric diagnostic assessment process. Dr Diana-Sabina Vieru, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and PhD student in Pharmacology at CEMEX, Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy Iași, Romania, and Dr Tomas Olsson, Senior Researcher at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden talk together. Their conversation explores how automation, digital technologies, and clinical expertise can support more timely, consistent, and person-centred mental healthcare.
