The XiA project launches its first open learning session #1 on 22 January 2026 at 15 00-16 00 CET. Three guest speakers will describe what several European projects are doing when working on cybersecurity. Example projects include CYLCOMED, SECURED, and xShare. 

Speakers

• Juan Carlos Perez Baun, researcher and project manager at the Blockchain, Identity & Privacy Unit, at Eviden (subsidiary of the French ATOS IT group) will present outcomes from two European projects CYLCOMED and SECURED EU, focusing on privacy-preserving of health data and secure health data sharing.

• Evangelos Markatos, Professor at the University of Crete and Head of the Distributed Computing Systems Laboratory at the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH), will share insights on current Cybersecurity challenges from the perspective of the xShare project.

• Kassem Kallas, senior research scientist at INSERM (the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research), will present his work on Artificial Intelligence Security.
