DESCRIPTION: \nThe 31st European Health Management Conference (EHMC), takes place in Barcelona, Spain, from 10 to 12 June 2026, co-hosted by La Unió – Catalan Hospital, Health and Social Services Association.\nEHTEL team member, Sara Canella will be present and will introduce the Laurel DMAT tool! \nThis year’s conference theme is ‘Future-proofing health systems for a changing world: from strategy to action’. The conference brings together health professionals, policymakers, and researchers from across Europe to explore how to bridge long-term vision with day-to-day implementation — addressing priorities such as prevention, workforce transformation, digital innovation, sustainability, and equity in access.\nThe programme features five key tracks—governance and leadership, operations and practice, human capital, finance, and policy—and focuses on critical issues that impact healthcare systems across Europe.\n&nbsp;***\nThe&nbsp;<a href="https://www.ehtel.eu/activities/eu-funded-projects/laurel.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Laurel&nbsp;project&nbsp;</a>’s &nbsp;<a href="https://www.ehtel.eu/media-room/latest-news/329-all-the-latest-on-understanding-the-dmat.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Digital Maturity Assessment Tool</a>&nbsp;(DMAT) is one of the several tools and topics presented in the “Innovation and system transformation in healthcare” session on 10 June 2026 from 17 00 – 18 15 CET, chaired by the University of Messina’s Dr Guido Noto. The session covers various innovative tools, and touches on a variety of organisational levels, regions/countries, and conditions like cancer and the need for integrated long-term care.\nEHTEL’s digital health facilitator, Sara Canella, introduces the session with what the DMAT is, how it helps with understanding digital maturity, how it is being applied in the field of integrated long-term care, and what it has to offer.
